Grandma's Famous Breakfast Cookies

These are a favorite treat in our home, Aubrey calls them Grandma's famous breakfast cookies. We sometimes cheat a bit and put chocolate chips in instead of crasins....so yummy!

Breakfast Cookies
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Oil
1 egg
1 cup of mashed banana, or 1 cup applesauce
1 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans, chocolate chips, or craisins

Cream sugar, oil, egg and banana/applesauce. Add flour, nuts, soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon, and mix well. Drop from teaspoon onto nonstick baking sheet or put in muffin tins and bake as muffins. bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
